TEHRAN (PEDC) - The acid injection simulation device for fracturing processes, developed for the first time in the country, was constructed with the support of Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) and Amirkabir University of Technology.
The unveiling ceremony, attended by the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company and several representatives of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, marked a significant milestone in Iran's technological advancement.
The device, showcased at the 28th International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran, garnered public attention for its diverse capabilities. These include simulating acid injection within fractures at various angles, measuring fracture conductivity in the acid fracturing process, and assessing fluid leakage and permeability from fracture walls.
The agreement for constructing this equipment was forged last year concurrent with the Tehran International Oil Exhibition. Following its transformation into a contract, the device was swiftly built, enabling Iran to benefit from the manufacturing technology and operational capabilities of this equipment in a short period.
This collaborative effort between PEDC and Amirkabir University of Technology underscores Iran's commitment to technological innovation and its drive to enhance efficiency and productivity in the oil sector.
The showcase opened on Wednesday and will run until Saturday, May 11.
