Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) has won the gold award and the highest overall score at the Ninth International Knowledge-based Management Conference (KM4D), focusing on knowledge-based antifragility, for the fourth year in a row.
At the closing ceremony, organized by Iran Management Association (IMA), the company also received a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its forward-looking approach to scientific and research-driven development and its efforts to create a valuable ground for professional advancement and enhancement of scientific and technical capabilities.
During the ceremony, Majid Ghasemi, Chairman of the Iran Management Association, highlighted the achievements made by Pasargad Energy Development Company, citing the successful execution of directional drilling in Reshadat Oilfield and its plans to deploy the same technology in Sepehr and Jufeir oilfields and South Pars infill wells.
“For the first time in Iran, an acid-propped hydraulic fracturing operation had been successfully carried out in the Sepehr and Jufeir oilfields, leading to a multiple-fold increase in well production,” he added.
“Now, Sepehr and Jufeir oilfields produce about 90,000 barrels of oil. The company has made significant achievements in Iran’s oil industry through leveraging advanced expertise and turning challenges into opportunities,” Ghasemi noted.
It is worth noting that Pasargad Energy Development Company has also made notable progress in the solar energy sector, having commissioned 200 megawatts of solar power capacity across Iran, while an additional 200-megawatt capacity is expected to come online before winter.
