- Black Oil Simulator by Engineering Support Technology Development Company (ESTD)
RETINA Simulation is a fully developed black oil and gas mixture simulator, created over a period of four years at Engineering Support Technology Development Company (ESTD) under the order of Pasargad Exploration, Development, and Production Company. The software has been extensively tested by various subsidiaries of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) on several real reservoirs, and its performance has been validated against the Eclipse simulator. The results showed that RETINA Simulation is faster and more accurate, with a discrepancy of less than 5% in all tested models.
Additionally, this simulator has been tested on over 10 large reservoirs in Oman and Kuwait.
RETINA Simulation – Black Oil 1 is designed to simulate the production process from oil and gas reservoirs. By using this product, well and reservoir performance can be predicted based on production scenarios and enhanced recovery predictions. This product is widely used by companies involved in the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas fields to estimate the number of available reserves in discovered fields and to prepare reservoir development plans. It is also applicable in engineering consultancy companies for reservoir study projects on behalf of oil and gas development companies.
