Iran Energy Group Highlights Tech Role in Oil Value Chain

TEHRAN (PEDC) - Pasargad Energy Development Company, an Iranian-based energy group, held a training workshop on the importance of technology in completing the value chain of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry with a knowledge-based approach.

The workshop was held on the last day of the Tehran International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition at the group's booth, according to a statement by the company.

Mohsen Haerinejad, CEO of Arman Pasargad Energy Technology Development Company, a subsidiary of Pasargad Energy Development Company, said that increasing the petrochemical capacity was defined to complete the value chain and move towards product diversification.

He said that Iran's petrochemical capacity would reach 142 million tons/year by 2026 and that Arman Pasargad Energy Technology Development Company would play an important role in completing the value chain.

Haerinejad also said that developing downstream and complementary industries with more seriousness would result in more success in the industry and that his company was pursuing this goal.

He added that Arman Pasargad Energy Technology Development Company was a newly established company in the field of providing licenses and technologies needed to complete the value chain.

The Tehran International Oil Exhibition is one of the largest oil exhibitions in West Asia and the world, which showcases the capabilities and achievements of Iran's oil industry.
