Pezhvak Energy Engineering Services Company (PECO), in collaboration with Amirkabir University of Technology, is holding a specialized workshop on “Drilling and Well Testing Achievements and Operations of the Qezel Tappeh HPHT Well.”
The workshop consists of four technical sessions scheduled for October 23, 30, and November 6 and 13, 2025, at Amirkabir University of Technology, according to the company’s public relations office.
The first two sessions were led by PECO’s senior well planning engineer, Pirooz Heidarizadeh Motlagh, while the remaining sessions will be presented by the head of drilling engineering at Qezel Tappeh project, Hossein Jafari, as well as the head of drilling mud and waste engineering, Moein Hadi-Ghanavat.
Well design process for HPHT conditions, well control under HPHT conditions and drilling fluids are the main topics of the workshop.
The workshop has attracted significant interest from both academia and industry, drawing over 60 participants from top Iranian universities such as Sharif University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, University of Tehran, Iran University of Science and Technology, Shahid Beheshti University, Tarbiat Modares University, K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Petroleum University of Technology, Isfahan University of Technology, Shahrood University of Technology, Sahand University of Technology, Garmsar University and Islamic Azad University.
Participants include undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral students as well as experts from oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, selected to engage directly with field experience and technical achievements of Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) in HPHT well projects.
