Tehran -- Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) has successfully traded its first power output from its 1,500-megawatt project on Iran Energy Exchange, following an operating license granted for the power plant.
The company has officially offered the electricity generated from one of its solar power plants developed under its 1,500-megawatt project on Iran Energy Exchange for the first time after it received the license, according to the company’s public relations office.
The plant was constructed by Ctesiphon Green Energy Generation Company, a subsidiary of Pasargad Energy Development Company.
The power plant was granted its operating license by Iran’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (Satba) after meeting all technical, security and environmental standards. The plant is connected to Iran’s national power grid to generate clean energy, enhance efficiency and reduce environmental pollutants.
Pasargad Energy Development Company described this move as an effective step toward value chain integration and fulfill its knowledge-based and development approach.
The company also said trading electricity generated by its renewable power plants is part of its broader strategy to help address the country’s power imbalance and expand the clean energy market.
