“Sad dar Sad” Internship Program Launched by Pasargad Energy Group with Top University Students in Attendance
The opening ceremony for the 1404 (2025) summer internship program of Pasargad Energy Group, titled “Sad dar Sad” (100 out of 100), was held on Saturday, July 13, with the participation of 100 top-performing students from leading universities across Iran.
During the ceremony, the CEO of Pasargad Energy Group, Eng. Alireza Sadeghabadi, welcomed the students and explained the motivation behind launching this initiative. He emphasized the Group’s commitment to supporting top universities by organizing internship programs, educational seminars, and helping to equip academic institutions.
Sadeghabadi stated that recruitment of new employees within the Group and its subsidiaries would be carried out, within available capacity, with priority given to outstanding interns. He added, “Even those who are not hired will serve as ambassadors for Pasargad Energy in any future professional or managerial role they may hold.”
Highlighting the increase in the number of students participating in this year’s internship compared to previous editions, the CEO said the program aims to grow both in quantity and quality. “This year’s expansion in student numbers was contingent upon enhancing the quality of training, which we strived to achieve based on experience from previous rounds,” he noted. Interns will not only gain exposure to various aspects of the oil, gas, power, and utility industries—both upstream and downstream—but also receive training on financial statements, capital market fundamentals, and types of commercial contracts.
Also speaking at the event was Dr. Vahid Tagikhani, Visiting Professor at Rice University’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology & Innovation Advisor to the CEO of Pasargad Energy Group. He remarked, “As the head of an academic department outside of Iran, I can say I’ve never seen a program like this internship offered by Pasargad Energy Group anywhere else. I am using this model to inform our practices abroad.”
A faculty member at Sharif University of Technology’s Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, Dr. Tagikhani emphasized that this internship is not only a unique opportunity for students but also for university faculty and executive administrators to adopt as a model to elevate the quality of educational programs. “Soft skills—whether personal or group-oriented—are not developed through traditional classroom methods but through real-world experiences like internships,” he explained, underscoring the significant impact such programs can have on students’ future roles in the professional world.
It is worth noting that this internship is held for the third consecutive year as part of Pasargad Energy Group’s commitment to its social responsibility in the field of education. The 100 selected participants were admitted based on their professional and academic merits and represent some of Iran’s most prestigious universities.
