Pasargad Energy inks license agreement with RIPI

A license agreement for the MDHT unit of Pasargad Qeshm Refinery was inked among the downstream directorate of Pasargad Energy Development Company, Pars Behin Palayesh Naft Qeshm Company and Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) on Friday on the sidelines of the 29th Iran International Oil, Gas, ‎Refining and ‎Petrochemical Exhibition, also known as Iran Oil Show 2025.

The license agreement, aiming to grant the right to exploit technical know-how as well as providing process design documents for the MDHT unit at the second phase of Pasargad Qeshm Heavy Oil Refinery, was signed at RIPI booth at Iran Oil Show 2025.

Pasargad Qeshm Heavy Oil Refinery, Iran’s first ultra-heavy oil refinery with an annual capacity of 12 million barrels of heavy crude oil, is the largest bitumen producer in the region, offering various grades, and has its own wholesale loading dock.
