Pasargad Energy holds smart WRFM workshop
Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) held a workshop on “Smart WRFM; Challenges and Achievements” on Friday, May 9, at its booth at the 29th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, also known as Iran Oil Show 2025.
Pasargad Energy Development Company, in collaboration with Sepehr Pasargad Oil and Gas Production Company and Pasargad Exploration and Production Company, has established the Well, Reservoir, and Facilities Management (WRFM) Center.
The first phase of the WRFM, designed as a business intelligence center aiming at real-time monitoring and precise decision-making in oil industry, was launched on December 24, 2024, in the presence of the Vice-President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin.
The second phase of the project was initiated after Afshin urged the need to shift from business intelligent to artificial intelligent. Therefore, the first segment of the second phase was unveiled on Thursday, May 8, at the PEDC’s booth at Iran Oil Show 2025.
This phase aims to digitalize the oilfields and automate production management, drilling management, and well navigation systems.
In this regard, at the workshop on “Smart WRFM; Challenges and Achievements”, the head of the upstream deputy portfolio at the PEDC, Seyed Mehdi Seyedsar, the head of petroleum production engineering at Sepehr Pasargad Oil and Gas Production Company, Mohsen Hajalizadeh, and Mohsen Rajabzadeh from Sepehr Pasargad Oil and Gas Production Company introduced the center.
