The time it takes to drill a well in Sepehr and Jufair Oilfield has been reduced by 60 percent, the drilling engineering manager at Pasargad Exploration and Production Company said.
The time for drilling a well in Sepehr and Jufair Oilfield, located in the Fahlian reservoir layer, has been reduced from 333 days to 90 days, Mohammad Reza Afsharian said on the sidelines of a press visit to the field.
The depth of the oil wells drilled in the Fahlian layer ranges from 4,600 to 4,650 meters, he said, adding 60,000 meters of wells have already been drilled in Sepehr and Jufair Oilfield.
All 12 wells drilled in the oilfield are high-pressure high-temperature and their pressure is 10,000 psi, he said, adding all environmental measures have been taken into account in the drilling operation of the field.
We have used Iranian raw materials which helped to reduce the costs by 30 percent, Afsharian noted.
