MPs Endorse Petroleum Ministry Policies at OPEC

TEHRAN (Shana) -- A group of 217 members of the Iranian parliament signed a statement endorsing the policies adopted by the petroleum ministry in OPEC.

Through the statement, the lawmakers seconded the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum's oil policies as well as Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh's efforts at the 174^th Meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

The document was rehearsed during the parliament's Wednesday session.

At the organization's 174^th general meeting, OPEC members decided to stick to the group's output cut plan which was decided upon back in November 2016.
