Sina Chemical Industry Development
The Company is responsible for the Polyolefin Pasargad Complex project, which uses natural gas as feedstock to produce methanol. Methanol is then converted into light olefins through MTO technology.
Light olefins, including ethylene and propylene, are among the most important feedstocks for plastic production units. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the major final products of this complex, which are produced in various grades using ethylene and propylene feedstocks. Phase one involves producing 1.65 million tons of methanol per year, while phase two involves producing polypropylene and polyethylene. The project is located in the Sistan and Baluchestan province (Chabahar Free Zone)."
